Automovilistas que circulaban en la vía rumbo a San Andrés Cholula tomaron varios videos donde se pudo observar el humo en el edificio, que en espirales se elevaba al cielo. Luego de la llamada de alerta, acudió personal de Protección Civil y bomberos, quienes informaron que el siniestro quedó controlado y reportaron que no hubo reporte de heridos. De manera extraoficial se informó que el incendio comenzó en la cocina, debido a un corto circuito, sin que hasta el momento las autoridades determinen la causa real del siniestro.
