La primera edición será en Cancún, del 21 al 23 de abril, mientras que en Ciudad de México se llevará a cabo del 23 al 25 de mayo. Una de las novedades para el próximo año consistirá en la vuelta de la actividad los lunes por la noche, con un enfrentamiento durante 17 semanas, completando así el ciclo de al menos un cotejo todos los días. El Juego de Estrellas y el Home Run Derby se celebrarán del 27 al 29 de junio en el Harp Helú. Coincidirá con el aniversario del primer picheo en la historia de la LMB, hace un siglo. Como de costumbre, al finalizar la ronda regular, los seis equipos más destacados de cada zona, tanto del Norte como del Sur, confirmarán su boleto a los playoffs. La clasificación estará determinada por el porcentaje de victorias y derrotas acumulado. En la postemporada, todas las eliminatorias seguirán el modelo del mejor de siete juegos. Avanzará el primero en obtener cuatro triunfos. La campaña contará con la participación de 20 equipos, cada uno disputando 93 juegos divididos en 31 series. Una de las novedades es el regreso de los partidos los lunes por la noche, con 17 encuentros programados para ese día. Un día después saltarán al diamante los restantes 18 equipos para inaugurar sus campañas: Dorados vs Algodoneros, Saraperos vs Caliente, Rieleros vs Toros, Charros vs Sultanes, Tecos vs Acereros, Bravos vs Conspiradores, Pericos vs El Águila, Tigres vs Piratas y Guerreros vs Olmecas.
