Por un lado un jugador (ex) de los Correcaminos de la UAT, un equipo que participa en esa deteriorada Liga de Expansión que bien podría ser llamada "de Contracción”, porque en realidad no se expande ni expandirá hacia ningún lado. Y por el otro seis jugadores del Real Apodaca FC, de la Serie A de la Segunda División, pomposamente llamada "Liga Premier”. Un equipo fundado apenas hace veinte meses, con sede en Apodaca, Nuevo León, y que participa en una de varias ligas que en el futbol profesional de México están a la deriva, navegando al garete, desde que fue impunemente vulnerado el mecanismo ascenso-descenso, elemental en cualquier competencia que se precie de serlo. Con este caso y los de otros equipos de distintas divisiones, de los que se sospechan prácticas similares, queda en evidencia que el mundo de las apuestas está plácidamente arraigado en nuestro futbol, como campo propicio para la venta de partidos, o de goles, o de tarjetas o de saques de banda. Un problema muy grave si consideramos, primero, que las casas de apuestas se han convertido en los principales patrocinadores en el futbol mexicano, tanto en diversos equipos como en las principales cadenas de televisión. Y segundo, que una de esas casas de apuestas es dueña de dos equipos de Primera División –los descendentes Xolos de Tijuana y los desplumados Gallos de Querétaro–, como ominoso añadido de la nociva multipropiedad, también solapada en nuestro maltratado balompié mexicano. Las apuestas como ingrediente primordial en el deporte profesional en general y en el futbol en particular. Cientos de miles de aficionados que disfrutan más de los partidos con las apuestas de por medio, o que gozan apostando con el futbol como pretexto. Si del gusto por la maravillosa esencia lúdica del futbol se pasa a la peligrosa ludopatía germinada a partir del mismo, eso es asunto de cada quien y que cada quien lo resuelva como pueda si es que sabe. ¿Habrá alguien dispuesto a modificar las cosas y hacer lo necesario para esclarecer tan inquietante y turbio panorama? No se ve quién ni se ve por dónde.
