PARIS LAS VEGAS POOL WALKTHROUGH

Hey everybody! Today we are in Las Vegas, on the Las Vegas Strip to check out an iconic hotel and casino, The Mirage! We will also check out the pool! The Mirage is a 3,044-room Polynesian-themed casino resort on the Las Vegas Strip. The resort was built by developer Steve Wynn and is owned and operated by MGM Resorts International. The Las Vegas Mirage opened it's doors in 1989 and really changed the direction and set the standard of what new hotels and casino should look like along the Las Vegas Strip. At the time, it was the most expensive and largest hotel and casino ever built. The unique 'Y' shaped building was so successful, it was later copied by the Treasure Island, Monte Carlo and Mandalay Bay. Gov. Kevin Stitt said Tuesday that the state is offering an extension to tribal leaders to renegotiate casino gaming compacts. Stitt and the tribes are at an impasse over whether the 15-year agreement allowing casino gambling expires on Jan. 1. Stitt says the compacts expire, and he wants to renegotiate for a larger slice of casino revenue. Tribal leaders have said they're willing to renegotiate the fees they pay but first want Stitt to acknowledge the compacts automatically renew. Stitt didn’t say how long the extension could last, but he said it’s important to avoid disrupting the casino operations amid a negotiating standstill. “I want business to continue as usual while we resolve this dispute,” he said. “You know, as we approach the holidays and enter into 2020, I want the banks, the alcohol vendors, the food vendors, the entertainers, and the workers to have certainty and assurance that they can continue to engage in business while the state works to negotiate in good faith with our tribal partners about what gaming looks like for the next 15 years. “I also want to ensure that the revenues of the state, that the state receives under the current contract, continues to be available to fund the state services that we provide to all Oklahomans,” he continued. Stitt said he’s offering the extension in part because the tribes have varying needs that can’t be addressed so quickly, before the end of the year.
